Be part of our volunteer team
The East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department needs volunteers for one of Michigan’s finest running events. The Huntington Reeds Lake Run is a community-wide event that showcases all East Grand Rapids has to offer. It draws over 2,700 participants, largely because our tremendous volunteers provide a safe, fun event. Volunteers are needed to control and direct traffic on the course, while directing and cheering on runners.

All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, June 24 from approximately 7:00A - 10:30A, (the exact time will depend on your volunteer location). You will be sent a confirmation about a week before the race, with your specific volunteer location and instructions. Volunteers must check-in at the EGR Community Center, 750 Lakeside Dr. SE, to receive your t-shirt, vest and final instructions. Check-in is from 4:30P - 7:00P on Friday, June 23 and 6:30A - 7:30A on Saturday June 24.
