Interscholastic Girls Basketball (7th & 8th Grade)

Evaluation Goal: To ensure that team placements are fairly and objectively determined. To give each player the opportunity to be selected onto the A, B or Rec. teams depending on skill level, hard work and attitude.

League Format: Players will be evaluated and placed on either the A,B or Rec. teams.
League Rules: (4) 8-minute quarters. All players are guaranteed the equivalent of (1) 8-minute quarter determined by the coach.

Interscholastic (A) and (B) Teams:
10-12 game schedule and play against schools in the surrounding area.
Mondays games (A teams will play at 4:00 and B teams at 5:00)
Wednesday games (B teams will play at 4:00 and A teams at 5:00)
Practice Start date: TBD after teams have been drafted.

Rec Teams:
If selected to a Rec. team players will receive a reduced player fee. Teams will have a 6-game schedule which will consist of Inter-Squad games and the possibility of playing other schools depending on availability.

Rec Team Practices/Games: (2 days a week) (TBD after schedule is completed)
-Depending on the schedule teams will have either 2 practices a week or 1 practice and 1 game.
-Practice start date: TBA

Evaluation Dates: Jan. 10,11,12 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
(7th grade) 4:00-5:30
(8th grade) 5:30-7:00

Season Dates: Jan. 10-March 8

Interscholastic Boys Swim and Dive

(6th-8th grade)

Middle School Boys Swim team and Dive team
-Athletes will choose to participate on the Swim team or Dive Team.
-The team will participate against other schools in the West Michigan Middle School Conference.

Meets: Tuesdays and Thursdays
League Schools: Wayland, Forest Hills, Spring Lake, Northview and Rockford.

Practice Times: Depending on the availability of the pool.
-Practices will be Monday through Thursday unless there is a scheduled meet or the pool is unavailable.
(1-Hour) Swim Team Practice Times: 5:45-6:45
(1-Hour) Dive Team Practice Times: 5:45-6:45

League Meet Times: Will vary between a 4:00, 4:30 or 6:15 start.
Season Dates: January 16-March 8

Conference Meets: March 7 (Diving) and March 8 (Swim)

Transportation not provided.
