About the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation
Mary Free Bed was founded in 1891 when a group of Grand Rapids women recognized the need for medical care for patients of limited financial means in our community. Today, it is the only independent, non-profit, nationally accredited, acute care rehabilitation hospital in West Michigan. True to our legacy, patients are still served regardless of their ability to pay.
Exciting growth, in both the number of patients served as well as the types of services offered, is the hallmark of this year. As we look forward, a much needed expansion and renovation project is underway and will be completed in 2014, enabling us to better meet the needs of our patients and serve 3,000 additional people yearly.
To ensure a future as compelling as our past, the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation was established. Please consider a financial contribution in support of the vital care we provide. On behalf of our patients, whose lives are better because of the therapy and services received at Mary Free Bed, thank you.
